Change-over fixtures.
If you want to produce two, three, and even four similar products on the same fixture with a quick change over, we can help you. We are here to help with your lean manufacturing needs. We can provide you with rapid tooling change-overs in your designs.
Pro/E and Solidworks
We are the experts in using Pro/ENGINEER (now called Creo Parametric) for machine design process. We have customized Pro/ENGINEER 3D Design for designing the machines used to manufacture your product.
Zero Defect Engineering Process™
- Rentapen holds a discussion with customer about the job. Ask questions. For example: Do you need manual or pneumatic clamps? If it is a new customer we will ask what preferred vendor do they use? What kind of finish do they want on the machine parts that are touching the product? (Heat treated, Black Oxide, Rc 55-57)
- Rentapen starts the design
- Preliminary design review
- We use our start parts and drawings with designated standards
- Model up using 3D Models using the specified standards and Rentapen’s custom developed add-on software that speeds up CAD design process and reduces errors
- Modeled design is reviewed with customer and specified changes might occur if needed
- Design is completed with holes, shims and fasteners (if required)
- Interference check
- If on a trunnion, then balance check
- Detail parts and assemblies using Rentapen’s custom developed add-on software
- Checked over by CAD Drafter then checked by Chief Engineer or Design Engineering Manager.
- Checker changes made
- Back check (verify that the checker changes have been made correctly)
