Rentapen located in Waukesha, WI released their new free web service a month ago, featuring 3D CAD Models of their line of RAPid Tooling Components™.
RAPid Tooling Components™ also known as “RTC” was developed by Rentapen Inc.’s design team in 2002. Rentapen Inc., created the RTC product line in response to their customers’ need for a dramatic reduction in the overall design, set-up, and build costs of weld tooling fixtures. RAPid Tooling Components™ (RTC) reduce the design cost of a weld fixture by eliminating the need to design, detail and check similar parts over and over again. RAPid Tooling Components™ reduce the build costs of a fixture by reducing the time and material needed to program the CNC, create the part, and check the part.Now free 3D Models of the weld tooling components are available online.
Machine Design Engineers and CAD Drafters from the U.S. are able to go on to Rentapen’s website and perform four quick and fun steps to make a better weld fixture that will save them time and their company money.
First, go to Rentapen’s website and click on the tab that says Order 3D Models.
Second, select the blocks, shims, clamp risers, or plates that you need and add them to your cart.
Third, click order model and fill out your company’s information. You will only have to fill out your information once on each computer that you use. Otherwise if you use the same computer every time when you order a 3D Model then the system will remember your information. Then click order model again.
Finally, you will receive your 3D CAD Models that you ordered in your email inbox. Then you can save it to your CAD library. It is that simple!
