Rentapen Inc. Now Makes Alterations To RAPid Blocks™ & RAPid Plates™
Rentapen Inc., located in Waukesha, WI, first developed RAPid Tooling Components™ in the year 2002. The product line was inspired by their customers’ need for dramatic reductions in the overall design, set-up, and operation costs of welding and other tooling fixtures. Rapid Tooling Components™ (RTC) reduce the design cost of the fixture by eliminating the need to design, detail and check similar parts over and over again.
Now, upon request, Rentapen makes modifications to their customer’s RAPid Blocks™, as part of a new service. This will save manufacturers time and money and will keep tooling lean by reducing the number of times the part is handled.
RAPid Blocks™ can be ordered with only holes in on end. In the past, customers would buy the RAPid Block™ and then have to put it in their CNC or take it to another vendor to place a hole in it to hold a locating pin or a rest pad. With this new service, customers will be able to send a drawing of their alterations along with their RAPid Block™ order and get a quote from Rentapen for the alterations.
Rentapen uses the same CNC that makes its product line of Blocks and Plates used in precision jig and weld fixtures to make alterations to those parts customized.
To provide their customers with the best price, Rentapen makes each RAPid Block™ when it is ordered. Keeping finished good inventory costs low and passing on the savings to Rentapen’s customers.
“We save you time and money when we make your alterations to your RAPid Blocks™ while we are working on it in our CNC. There is no sense in handling the part more than necessary,” said Susan Straley, President of Rentapen Inc.
Rentapen specializes in precision jig and weld fixtures. These tooling fixtures hold manufacturers’ product parts together while they are being manually or robotically welded or assembled together. Rentapen’s fixtures end up costing less to build because they integrate standardized purchased components wherever it makes sense to do so.
Rentapen is in the business of satisfying their customers’ need to reduce costs.
